Ena (18 months) earned her BH today under USCA Judge Andrea Duggan. Look for us at the AWDF National Championship in May as she competes for her IPO1 :)

We are very proud to see NYS Trooper Robert Schlagel, with his police K9 McKenna (Rennbahn "E" litter). McKenna is a dual certified patrol/bomb dog for the New York State Police, and is 17 months old. We are proud to have placed a dog in Trooper Schlagel hands as he truly loves his dogs and they are an important part of his family when not on duty.
Dasko had a nice showing at his first USCA GSD National Championship. He finished 22nd out of 55 dogs. We have to tighten up some obedience issues in protection and OB, but I expect his 3 year old campaign to be "his time." His two year old campaign included 5- IPO3 titles, 3 at the National level (WDC, AWDF, and USCA) and one at the Regional level (New England), and one at the club level.
Dasko earned his 2012 USCA Nationals Qualifying score at the Schutzhund Club of Buffalo, under SV Judge Heinz Kruse, with a score of 99-88-97-284. Super proud of my young guy!! Our flight has been booked to Nashville for the first week in November. This will be Dasko's third IPO 3, national event as a two year old dog. After this he gets a nice LONG rest to finish his recuperation from these nasty
Dasko is still in the recovery process from his Lyme and Anaplasmosis, but each day he is feeling better and better! We are entered in the USCA New England Regional Championship and we hope to be able to compete there. Due to his illness- related, extended time off this summer, we have a lot of work to do in order to regain some control :) With any luck he will show well at the regionals and earn his chance at the Nationals in Nashville in November :)
Well... the last "F" puppy has gone. We left for the airport at 3:40am. Felix is on his way to meet his new family. That just leaves Falco (blue collar) here... who was just to nice for me to not want to keep. Very quite here this morning. Thankfully Falco has his big brother, sister, and Mama here so he hasn't seemed to miss his littermates yet. Now the fun starts!! 3 dogs - 2 years old and un
Such a bitter sweet time! Puppies are starting to head out to their new homes. It's amazing how I can fall in love with each and every one of them and how they all have their own distinct personalities. Good luck beautiful "F" litter! I wish you all well and I KNOW that you will bring much happiness to your new families!!
I don't know if everyone is aware, but after coming home from the AWDF Dasko wasn't acting right. He was very lethargic and depressed. I wrote it off to his nose being bent over having the puppies in the house. Then one day he woke up screaming in pain and could walk up the three stepd from the den to the kitchen, we literally had to pick him up and carry him. Long story short…. We brought him to the vet where he was strongly positive for Lyme disease and Analplasmosis. The vet prescribed antibiotics and said that he should be nearly normal in 48 hours… suffice it to say, he was not. Not only was he NOT normal he was in fact worse. Then after researching a little, it became apparent that the vet had waaaay underdosed him ion the antibiotic. It took about 4 days on the higher dosage of antibiotics before Dasko returned to near normal, and now, after a long 8 weeks, I am happy to say that my boy is BACK! Today was his first day back to training!! And it felt sooo good to have him by my side again!! Love ya big guy!!
